Dr Katy Jones is a Research Fellow based in the Decent Work and Productivity Research Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School. Over the past decade in both think tanks and academia she has been involved in multiple research projects focused on labour market policy and employment support. She has recently led the first major independent study exploring employer’s perspectives of Universal Credit and Jobcentre employment support, which includes new insights from the warehousing sector. She has published widely including two books and numerous articles in top international journals.  Katy is passionate about engaging with policymakers and practitioners to generate impactful research. She has held numerous advisory positions and is a regular contributor to parliamentary inquiries and policy consultations.
