Neil Jurd is a leadership and teams expert with a background in logistics. Neil is the author of the best-selling The Leadership Book, and the founder of the online leadership and team development site Leader-Connect.co.uk. A former army officer, he led soldiers on operations around the world, and also taught leadership at the RMA Sandhurst. He served as Head of Logistics for British Forces Cyprus, and then on leaving the army was Head of Logistics for British Sugar. For the past decade he has worked in leadership development, delivering courses, coaching and Leader Connect access to a wide range of clients including BDP, Sanofi, Sheffield University and Virgin Media. Neil believes that leadership is a simple concept, that it can be learned by anyone, and that developing leadership is usually the single most important way to improve organisational success. Neil was awarded the OBE in 2021 for his voluntary work improving leadership in the Army Cadet Force, and was awarded the British Citizen Award in 2020 for his charity work.
