  2. Conference Theatre
Warehouses are safest when they integrate training, technology and regulatory adherence, under the leadership of people who care. This session will discuss the hazards in a logistics environment and highlight good practice in informing and educating the workforce, adopting suitable and well-maintained equipment, as well as spotting and tackling issues before something goes wrong.
  3. The world of retail logistics has changed dramatically over the past 25 years - we now live in an 'omnichannel world' where next-day delivery has become the norm and the efficient management of returns allows 3PLs to offer a competitive advantage as a 'retail enabler'. Come along to learn about the ongoing need for innovation as warehouses embrace the circular economy.

  4. Conference Theatre

Discover the transformative potential of circular economy principles with innovative strategies for managing overstocks, end-of-range products, damaged or slightly soiled inventory, and short-dated perishables. Instead of resorting to costly destruction or indefinite storage, explore tax-efficient alternatives that allow you to extract social value from your surplus.

  5. Conference Theatre

Discover cutting-edge solutions and industry-leading practices as our expert panel uncovers the eco-conscious evolution of supply chains. From enhancing energy efficiency to adopting sustainable packaging, uncover how top-tier companies are enhancing their operations, minimising carbon footprints, optimising resource allocation, and embracing the green revolution.

  6. Conference Theatre

Ruth's inspiring presentation will discuss how to navigate the challenges of 'mum guilt' and reclaim joy in parenting without sacrificing your career ambitions. Self-compassion, time management and a positive mindset can all help. The networking group Women in Logistics was created back in 2008 to connect, engage and inspire women in our sector. 'Having it all' is a myth, but together we can celebrate life in all its imperfections and draw solidarity from others.

  7. Conference Theatre
  8. Conference Theatre
Take this opportunity to engage in brief, focused conversations with multiple people in a short period. Similar to the concept of speed dating, participants rotate through a series of 4 short sessions, lasting 8 minutes each, to interact with different mentors.  The goal of speed mentoring is to provide mentees with exposure to various mentors who can offer insights, guidance, and advice on their career development, personal growth, or specific challenges. This format allows mentees to benefit from diverse perspectives and quickly build a network of mentors.
  9. Conference Theatre
Changes in government can lead to shifts in policies related to taxes, trade agreements, infrastructure investment, environmental policies and regulatory frameworks. With a General Election expected later this year, both the main political parties have demonstrated their willingness to engage with the business community.  Our experts share their views on the potential consequences for warehousing and logistics.
  10. Conference Theatre
Jane Burkitt - who has spent over 30 years working in the supply chain for a range of consumer-oriented businesses - joined Mars last year as their Vice President Global Supply Chain Pet Nutrition. She will share her reflections on how supply chains have evolved and her perspective on the future of supply chain leadership and its implications for our profession.
  11. Conference Theatre
Effective networking is not just about what you can gain but also about what you can contribute to others in your professional community. If the thought of networking makes you cringe, Ruth will allay your fears with a simple plan to maximise the benefits.  And then you can put it into practice straight away!

  1. Conference Theatre
The successful adoption of warehouse robotics relies on a harmonious integration of hardware and software. While hardware provides the physical capabilities for automation, software acts as the 'brain', coordinating, controlling, and optimising operations for maximum efficiency and adaptability. Our expert panellists will discuss the synergy between these components; essential for achieving 'return on investment' by realising the potential for productivity, speed, accuracy, and operational excellence.
  2. Conference Theatre
In a challenging landscape, it's the skills, expertise, and adaptability of individuals that will drive innovation and propel the logistics industry forward. Our esteemed panel will describe the evolution of job roles within warehouses and the impact of automation, exploring the intersection of talent, training, and technology. Solving the labour shortage and investing in our staff will ensure we not only embrace change but also thrive in an era of unprecedented opportunity.
  3. Conference Theatre
Imagine a world where innovation is the norm, sustainability is paramount, and the human touch remains indispensable. Our experts will debate the role of 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, outline new commercial models and explore the impact of societal changes on logistics. The Warehouse of the Future is a not-so-distant dream: are we ready for it?

  1. Studies carried out in Apr 2023, show that video is shared 1200% more than images and text combined. It is estimated that the average person spends more than two hours every day on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn. This is why it is essential that you and your business maximises their impact on social media platforms. John Dixon Video will show you how, in the fast-paced world of social media where attention spans are shrinking and content competition is fierce, it’s essential for businesses and individuals alike to stay ahead of the curve. We will show you how iDEC® smartphone video helps to grab attention, enhance engagement, convey information clearly and effectively, boost brand personality and drive traffic and conversions
  2. No matter your subject knowledge, you can be communicating something quite mundane, so you must therefore make it as interesting and impactful as you can. Did you know that people retain over 90% of what they watch but only 10% of what they read. Video has been proven to be more engaging so if you want your teams to recall all the important points communicated during your Health and Safety training, video is the channel to use. John Dixon will take you through the benefits of creating iDEC® Smartphone video and show you how you can create Health and Safety video content within your business. Videos can demonstrate proper techniques and model safe behaviours much more clearly than written policies and static images. They can also more effectively highlight and draw attention to risk factors and hazards

  4. If you’re an employer, you might already have an induction procedure in place, but have you considered about how efficient it is, how engaging it is and whether it could be improved? Induction is one of the most important stages in the recruitment process. Yet, many businesses overlook the value of a carefully planned and organised induction procedure. ] Induction helps the company and its inductees start off on the right foot and reduce the time that new hires need to settle into their new roles. Most of all, it reduces the possibility of losing a new hire within the first few days of their employment. John Dixon will show you why an effective induction video will save you time and money, provide a consistent and effective process and offer an accessible, convenient and enjoyable solution to welcome and on-board your new starters.

IWLEX Exhibitors say :

  • "We’ve never seen a show like it! Within six minutes of the inaugural IWLEX (Inside Warehouse & Logistics Exhibition) opening, we had our first inquiry in the bag. The two days in May at the Telford International Centre went on to be the most successful trade show we have attended in terms of deals created at the event itself and immediately afterward."
    Hi-Level Mezzanines Ltd
  • “We thoroughly enjoyed our time at IWLEX. It is a valuable exhibition for companies looking for the highest quality visitors. Visitor numbers may be lower than at other exhibitions, simply because the organisers have done a fantastic job in screening out time-wasters! Everyone who came onto our stand was a motivated buyer and we have had several high-quality leads since the exhibition. We recommend IWLEX to anyone looking for relevant leads within the world of warehousing and logistics. Thank you, Justin and Nairn!”
    NLT Mechanical
  • '' It was a good show and quality is always better than a high number of tyres kickers . We have engaged with two potential customers with live projects that at this point are looking promising hence committing to IWLEX24.''
    Russell Hutchinson
    Business Development Manager - Daifuku
  • "At 51T we are really excited to be part of the inaugural Inside Warehouse Logistics exhibition. Having exhibited at other events we felt it was time for something new, in particular the original idea of having the industry shape the event. We're looking forward to meeting a new group of buyers and becoming part of the new IWLEX community."
    Duncan Dampier
    51T International Accounts Manager
  • "The Safety Knife Company are delighted to be part of the inaugural Inside Warehouse Logistics exhibition. We believe that this energetic new event will be a ‘must attend’ for the industry professionals and attract excellent visitors for us to engage with."
    David Harris
General Manager at The Safety Knife Company
